Especially if you are wanting to carry a lot of gear with you and you can't carry it on your hitch because either you don't have a hitch or you don't have a very high tongue weight, you need to put more items on top of your vehicle, then a roof rack is gonna be the solution for you. It's important to make sure that this is gonna be the right fit for you. And the reason I say that is gonna be because the Rogue comes in two options. You're gonna be able to put a lot of different accessories up top. As far as weight capacity is concerned, I'd go by what is the lowest rated. So I'd check with your manufacturer to make sure how much your roof can handle and making sure how much these roof rack system can handle as well and just going by which one's lower. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Yakima Roof Rack system which we'll take a look at on our 2021 Nissan Rogue. If you wanna carry around fun accessories like kayaks or ladders, or maybe you want a roof-mounted bike rack or extra cargo space in the form of a roof box, what you first need is a roof rack system. So this is the system from Yakima, which is ideal for if you want a premium roof rack that is strong, it's sturdy but it also gives you extra long crossbars spread. Compared to other brands, this gives you a wider platform with your crossbar staying further apart so you can carry those longer items like kayaks, ladders or even Christmas trees if you want. For your Rogue's roof, you wanna make sure there's enough clearance underneath for clamps or U-bolts and wing nuts. Here from our roof to bottom of the crossbar I have it at three inches of clearance and then the height addage to the top of our roof at the top of the crossbar is gonna be four inches of height. more

Now our Rogue does have plenty of storage space but if you are looking to carry around some of those bigger items like fishing gear, snowboards, skis or even a kayak, the first step is going to be getting a roof mounted system like this one. And since we have no rails, we are going to have to get a fit kit for our vehicle specifically to go with it. Our crossbar is rated for 165 pounds but our roof might have a different weight rating. So it's important to know all of those numbers so that way you're not using too much weight and going by your highest capacity. more

Thule Squarebar Crossbars Installation - 2015 Nissan Rogue- Video
Hey, guys, today we have a 2015 Nissan Rogue and we're going to do a test of the Thule square bar crossbar roof rack system. Now, this roof rack system is going to mount to the raised side rails of your Rogue and it's going to allow you to get your favorite accessories on top of your roof, whether you've got a bike rack, a kayak carrier, or even a cargo box. The carrier with the square bar design is going to have a more rugged look to it, so it might have a bit more wind noise and drag when compared to the wing bar setup, which is a more aerodynamic shape, but you're going to have that more rugged, outdoorsy look which is sometimes favorable, depending on the person that is putting it on their Rogue.Now, it's made up of a couple of different parts. We have our 47-inch square bar crossbar up top. The square bars have been redesigned by Thule, instead of having a foot pack that comes around the top and crimps it right there, we're actually going to have a track, right here, just like in the wing bars, to where we can slide our foot pack in, and then it's going to attach down from there. It's also going to lock inside the track.Now, down below what's connecting our crossbar to our raised side rail is going to be our Evo raised rail foot. more

Thule Roof Rack Review - 2015 Nissan Rogue- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Aeroblade Edge roof rack system. This is going to be part number TH7502-TH7502. The nice thing about this system is that it's going to come with everything you need to get it installed. We have just the first bar installed for right now, so you can get a look at it, and then we'll install the second bar together.Like Thule's other Aeroblade systems, this is going to cut down on wind noise. The design of it is an aerodynamic shape, so it's kind of like an airplane wing where it has that rounded edge on the front and the tapered edge on the back, so you're not going to have to worry about that howling going down the highway, or having to get a fairing on the front to reduce that wind noise. It's already built in, to make it a lot quieter a system. more

Speaker 1: Okay, today on our 2015 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be taking a look at the Malone Airflow2 Roof Rack System. This is part number MPG215. Now, this is an aero style crossbar, and what that means is that the shape of the bar is an aerodynamic shape. You can see it's kind of shaped like an airplane wing with this rounded edge of the front tapering towards the back.So the nice thing about that is that it's gonna reduce wind noise and drag, so you don't have to worry about that whistling and howling sounding that you can get out of the old style bars like square and round. Now we just have the one bar installed for now, we're going to do that second one in a little bit together. So let's take a closer look at the airflow2 before we get to that.So this is an aluminum bar, and that means that it's going to resist rust and corrosion. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack System, part RRVA126B-2, for the black aluminum 49" crossbars. They're also available in silver with part number RRVA126S-2, and finally, we'll be using the Rhino Rack SX Series Legs for the Vortex Aero Crossbars.This Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System is going to allow you to carry roof-mounted accessories on your Rogue, things like bike racks, cargo boxes, cargo baskets, and much more. The crossbars are attached to your Rogue with the SX Series Legs, which are specifically designed for raised rails. The Vortex Aero design is going to help reduce wind noise and drag. It's also going to help reduce the need for a fairing as opposed to round bars or square bars, which are much louder.It's going to accept traditional clamp-on accessories as well as T-slot accessories. You simply just trim the rubber strip and replace it around your accessories. more

Speaker 1: Today we have our 2015 Nissan Rogue, we're gonna be installing the Malone Steel Top Square Bar, Roof Rack System. Everything you see comes with it, here on the table. And it comes pretty much already assembled, so the installation process is gonna be very easy.We already have our front bar installed on our vehicle. Now how we got it to this point, we set it onto the factory raised side rails, and then we picked a point up at the front here, mainly this line, and we measured back from that equal distance on both sides. And then we measured for our crossbar overhang, and tightened everything down.We'll go ahead and finish up with our rear bar here on the table. And show you exactly how we did that.First off, we're gonna take our end cap, and just pop that on our bar here. more

Inno Roof Rack Review - 2015 Nissan Rogue- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Nissan Rogue we're going to be test fitting the Inno Aero Roof Rack system consisting of part numbers INXB100-2. These are the 39 inch aero crossbars. We'll also be using part number INXS100 and these are the flush feet for the factory raised side rails. We already have our front bar installed on our vehicle and how we got it to the point that it is now, we set them on top of the factory raised side rails and we measured back from the point such as this line here the same distance on both sides to keep it even and then we tightened it down. Our bar on the table here is going to be the rear bar for the side rails and we already have it partially assembled on our table right now.This is everything that comes with the kit. You don't need any tools to install this so this is pretty much an easy install. more

These will be suitable for holding your favorite accessories, such as kayak carriers, cargo baskets, bike racks, and many more.It has study square steel bars with a vinyl coating to protect it. They carry a 165 pound weight capacity, although it is recommended to check your vehicle's owner's manual to ensure that you're not going to exceed its roof's capacity.There's an end cap on each bar to keep out dirt and debris, to prevent rust and corrosion on the inside. There's locking end caps for that added security for not only your bars, but your accessories on top. Two keys are included in the kit, and all the end caps locks match. It's going to help free up space inside your vehicle, allow you to carry more passengers or more gear.The aerodynamic shape of our bars is going to help to reduce wind, noise and drag as well as the weatherstrip on the inside channel. If we remove our end cap, we can see that our weatherstrip is easy to remove. We can cut it down and place in channel-mounted accessories.Though we have a plastic lock core on our end cap for our crossbar, we do have the option to place in a metal lock core which will help to reduce theft and tampering of any channel-mounted accessories. more

Thule Roof Rack Review - 2014 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Rogue we're going to test fit the Thule Crossroads roof rack system. We're using the 50" square bars. Those are part number THLB50, and the 450 foot packs or the Crossroads foot packs, the appropriate part number is TH450. Now we are using the 50" bars but with the setup the way it is you can go as large as you'd like with the width. It's a preference matter. Some people really like when they hang off so they can put some accessories here on the end. That's going to be up to you. more

Thule AeroBlade Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Rogue, we'll be test fitting the Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack System using part numbers THARB47 and TH450R. We'll begin our test fit by placing the front load bar up to the front of our roof on our raised side rails. Now you'll see that there's a connection point where the parallel bars and the raised side rails connect to the anchor points which secure the raised side rails to the roof. I'll just make sure it's about an inch apart from the first part of that foot pack to that crease. Doing this on both side will ensure the front load bar is perpendicular to the roof of our Rogue. With the front bar in position, we'll pop off the end caps and bring the rubber-coated steel straps around the underside of the raised rail. We'll hook them into the connection points and use the Allen tool connected to the end cap to tighten down the black bolt. more

Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on our 2013 Nissan Rogue, we'll be test fitting the Thule traverse roof rack system using part number t-h-l-b 58, t-h 480 and t-h-k-i-t 1587. With our roof rack assembled according to the instructions, we'll begin our test fit by opening both front doors. We'll grab our front bar and place it on to the front part of our roof. To ensure that we have this bar in the correct location, we need to measure 12 inches from the leading edge of the windshield to the closest point of the foot pack. We'll do this measurement on both sides to ensure that our feet are in line with each other. Then we can use the included Allen tool to tighten the Allen bolt to secure our clamps around the roofline of our Rogue. We'll tighten a little bit at a time on each side to ensure we don't lose our position. Once we have those tight, we can slide the tool into the foot pack and close the cover. We'll grab our rear bar and open our rear doors. more

Once weve established this position onto our roof, well then pop off the end cap to bring the rubber-coated steel straps around the underside of the raised side rail. Well then hook them back into position and use the included Allen key to tighten down the black bolt to bring the rubber-coated steel straps up tightly against the side rail. more

We'll make sure the distance from the first part of the foot to this fixed point is equal on both the passenger and driver side, to ensure the front load bar is perpendicular to the raised side rails of our Rogue. Once we've established this position onto our roof, we'll then pop off the end cap to bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of the raised side rail. We'll then hook them back into position and use the included Allen key to tighten down the black bolt to bring the rubber-coated steel straps up tightly against the side rail. more

We'll set the feet on both sides of the vehicle right next to these cutouts to make sure that the front load bar is perpendicular to the raised side rails of our Rogue. Once we've established this position, we'll then pop off the end cap to bring the rubber-coated steel straps around the underside of the raised side rails. We'll then use the included Allen key at the end of the end cap to tighten down the black Allen bolt to bring the straps up around tightly against the raised side rails. more

Rhino Rack Roof Rack Installation - 2011 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on this 2011 Nissan Rogue we are going to be installing a Rhino Rack SXB roof rack system with Aero crossbars. After we have assembled the crossbars, we can begin mounting them on our vehicle. First, we will take the front crossbar and loosely place it into position. First we will make sure that the crossbar is overhanging the same amount on both the driver side and passenger side. And then we will position it so that it is running perfectly perpendicular to the vehicle. Once we have the first crossbar in position, we can begin tightening it down. As we tighten this Allen head bolt, not only will the clamp begin to grab on to our side rails but it will also tighten the crossbars to the clamps. We will move back and forth from the driver side to the passenger side to tighten down the rack evenly. Once we have our front crossbar installed, we can go ahead and install our locking end caps. The locking end caps not only help us seal the end of our crossbars. But because they are locking, they also protect our rack from being stolen. 1:03 more

Thule Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2011 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on this 2011 Nissan Rogue we are going to show you how to install a Thule Crossroad roof rack system. The Thule Crossroad system is designed to attach to vehicles with factory raised side rails like we have on our Rogue. Once we have the crossbars assembled, we can place them on top of our side rails. Make sure that they are spaced evenly on both sides with the side rails so that the crossbars run perpendicular to your vehicle. Once you have the front crossbar in place, you can use the integrated tool on the end cap to tighten them down. The Crossroad feet attach to the factory side rails using a rubber coated steel band. This band will strongly and securely grip your side rails but the rubber coating will help protect them as well. As we tighten down the clamp on the Crossroad foot, it also tightens the crossbar into the foot. We will move back and forth from the driver side to the passenger side to make sure the rack tightens down evenly and we do not lose our positioning. 0:57 more
